[Scam Alert] Scams Impersonating the Singapore Nursing Board

The Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) has been alerted to scams involving individuals or groups impersonating SNB through online messaging platforms such as Telegram.
These individuals or groups were using logos that resembled SNB’s and offered assistance to applicants on licensure examinations or registration applications in exchange for a sum of money.
SNB wishes to clarify that:
SNB Officers do not communicate via messaging platforms such as Telegram or WhatsApp.
SNB Officers do not request for money apart from the application fee for registration, nor do they bypass or expedite regulatory processes on behalf of any party.
All official communications by SNB are conducted through its official email addresses (i.e. email addresses ending with “@spb.gov.sg”) and the SNB website (www.snb.gov.sg).
SNB reminds all nurses, midwives and prospective applicants to remain vigilant and to verify the authenticity of any communication claiming to be from SNB.
If you encounter suspicious messages from online platforms claiming to represent SNB, please:
Do not provide personal information or documents such as copies of your NRIC/passport, bank account or credit card details;
Do not make any payments or transfer any money; and
Report the matter to the Police;
Call the 24/7 Scam Shield Helpline at 1799 (within Singapore) to check if you are unsure.
